Persephone Rising: A performance at Inverness Buddhist Centre

5:30pm - 6:30pm, Saturday, 11 May 2019

There was a meadow; there was a girl . . .

Join us for a performance of songs and narrative written and performed by Taradakini and Jinavamsa; based on the Greek myth of Persephone.

It’s the story of a young girl taken from the Great Above to the Great Below, where she will exchange her innocence for experience, become queen and re-emerge as spring.

The Centre will be open from 4.30pm and the performance starts at 5.30pm. Please bring some food to share after the performance.

Children can attend if they are comfortable sitting through a 50 minute performance. The content may not be suitable for very young children.

There is no charge for this event but Dana is welcome to cover performance travel costs and to share with the Centre.

Where: Triratna Buddhist Centre Highlands, First Floor Flat, 62 Academy Street, Inverness, IV1 1LP
