The Practice of Metta: reaching out to Merida (Venezuela), reaching out to the World

Last Wednesday of the month, 6:30pm - 8:00pm, 29 Nov 2017 to 28 Nov 2018

The Triratna Buddhist community in Merida has let us know of the very difficult  economic, political and social conditions there. Life is very tough and the people are suffering.  Not only in Merida but throughout the world there is pain, suffering, poverty, war and  homelessness.  Often our response is one of anger or fear or helplessness and a feeling of hopelessness. What can we do?
We can offer practical help, donations of money, food or clothing AND we can come together and practice meditation. The practice of metta (universal love) is the Buddha’s answer to the cries of the World.

Come along and sit in solidarity with others in the Highlands and with the Triratna Buddhist world. On the last Wednesday in each month we will meet from 6.30pm and meditate together at 7.00pm. The meditation will be led for those who are newcomers to the metta practice.
